What we collect

If you donate, we hold your name, email, phone number and the amount — we never see or store your card details, which stay with our payment processor. If you register for an event we hold the same, plus your ticket. If you volunteer we hold your contact details, your availability and an emergency contact.

Why we hold it

To issue your receipt or ticket, to reach you about the thing you signed up for, and to meet our own record-keeping obligations. Donation records are kept for seven years because our accounts are audited.

What we do not do

We do not sell your details. We do not share them with other organisations for their own marketing. We do not publish donor names without written permission, and we do not publish photographs of children without a guardian’s consent.

Photographs

Images uploaded to our gallery are reviewed by a member of staff before they appear. Location data is stripped from every photograph on upload. If you appear in an image and would like it removed, email us and we will take it down.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our updates using the link in any email. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@1ummahng.org. We will respond within thirty days.
