Who we are
A community that carries one another.
1Ummah began with a simple conviction — that the strength of a community is measured by how it treats those with the least. What started as a gathering of a few families in Abuja is now an organisation running scholarships, welfare and da’wah across Nigeria.
We work through six directorates and fifteen units, staffed by people who give their time alongside their own work and families. Every naira that passes through our hands is approved, recorded and accounted for — and published, so you can see it.
“The believers, in their mutual love, mercy and compassion, are like one body: when one limb aches, the whole body responds.”
What we do
Four pillars, one purpose.
Everything we run sits under one of these. Each is led by a directorate accountable for the money it spends and the results it reports.
Education
Scholarships and school fees for orphans and children from families who cannot carry the cost, so that no child is turned away from learning.
