ABOUT PEACE AND UNITY CONVENTION 2017
The convention will look at what it takes to build and maintain a contemporary Muslim family, – and by extension, Ummah – by considering the journey of building a Muslim Family along a spectrum, starting from the individual and culminating with the complex family unit facing diverse challenges and needs across different stages of its development.
1Ummah has also meticulously sought out scholars and resource persons who maintain a track record of dealing with family issues to lead the conversations during the Public Lectures, the Breakout Sessions, the Teen Session, as well as the Q&A Sessions
The Peace and Unity Convention 2016 aims:
- To provide true knowledge and better understanding of Islam.
- Discuss rehabilitation and integration of the Ummah after the fight against Boko Haram.
- Highlight the need for the right approach to conflict management in current times.
- Highlight individual responsibilities of Muslims towards moving the Ummah forward in the current economic recession.
- Groom the younger generation for future responsibilities.
