The World Dawah Mission is a campaign organized by Islamic Education And Reasearch Academy(IERA) which involve volunteers in all 204 countries of the world including Nigeria. The 1Ummah Charity together with the street dawah nigeria team volunteered for the campaign. The event is aimed at sharing the rational and compassionate message of our beautiful religion to humanity.
There was 100 registered volunteers in Abuja among which 50% were female and 50% were male from all over Abuja including Gwagwalada, Kuje, Asokoro, Garki, Maitama among others.
The campaign was held in 4 locations here in Abuja (9am – 6pm) namely;
– Jabi Lake, Jabi FCT Abuja
– Mararaba Bus stop, Mararaba FCT Abuja
– Wuse Market, Wuse FCT Abuja
– Millenium Park, Maitama FCT Abuja
Many non muslims were very inquisitive about the theme of the campaign “Is Life Just A Game?” and had lots of misconceptions about Islam that they were happy that many of our volunteers answered them correctly.
Over 1000 Pamphlets on Misconceptions about Islam, Jesus Christ, Introduction to Islam, Extremism, Purpose of life, etc were shared with our non Muslim brothers and sisters. Almost 40 copies of The English Translations of the Quran was given to New Muslims and non muslims very interested to know more about Islam.
Finally, at the millenium park dawah session the team met with a Pastor who engaged with the Ameer of 1ummahng Ustadh Abubakar Assiddiq and to indicate his happiness to the answers provided by the ameer he eventually hugged him and expressed his satisfactions. Alhamdulillah. Also, the Jabi lake team got 2 shahadahs. Alhamdulillah.
