1Ummah Charity, in collaboration with the International Centre for Islamic Culture and Education (ICICE) on Sunday 28th June 2015 (11th Ramadan 1436) donated relief materials worth millions of naira to support the IDPs of both Auta Ba Lefi and Masaka Villages of Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The IDPs of the two villages in the same axis received various items from the groups who had paid them a visit as part of their obligations to render succour to mankind. The two groups provided free medical care, medication, various brands of beverages, clothes, food items and toiletries among other things in the two villages. To get some additional information you should read this.
The aim of the visitation was also to help in promoting peace and denouncing the negative perception about Muslims by the IDPs who
were majorly Christians, showing that the notion of restricting assistance to victims of the same faith is not applicable to Islam. Majority of those beneficiaries in both villages were counselled to embrace Muslims as co-habitants and refrain from judging others as portrayed by the popular extremist group in the North-East
“We are made for mankind irrespective of religious affiliation. We are part of you and we feel your pain, embrace Muslims and never judge collectively.” – A quote from the Amir/President of 1Ummah Organisation

The Amir applauded the visitation team for their commitment to better the lives of mankind and charged them with the duty of learning from the plight of their people facing the same travails and be emphatic.

As long as is required, 1Ummah Charity will continue to provide services to all, as it is aptly stated that “service to humanity is service to God”. We pray for peace and prosperity to once again return to our Land, and the World at large. .
